Jamie Lee is a force to be reckoned with in the music industry. Growing up in small town PA, musical theater, choir, and singing the national anthem for minor league baseball teams and local sporting events were her salvation--until she moved to Philadelphia at the age of 18. She recorded a five-song cover demo at Saturation Acres Studio before leaving, so as to have something to network herself and get her voice heard! Juggling full time college and a burning desire for singing and songwriting, Jamie Lee didn't waste any time. She quickly joined J.Hill Xperience, a neo-soul rock band based in Philly. She was with the band for two years with whom she opened up for John Legend at the University of Delaware in 2004 weeks before his "Lifted" album dropped. Then in September 2004 her demo cd fell into the right hands. Jamie Lee was invited to sing a duet with Clay Aiken at the York Fair, a stop part of his 2004 summer tour. Jamie belted out "Without You," a duet on Clay's album with Kimberley Locke, in front of a crowd 10,000 strong. And that's only the beginning. Soon after, Jamie Lee joined a pop/R&B acappella group, began singing the national anthem for Temple University men's and women's basketball games and for the 76ers NBA team. Mid 2005 she linked up with some of the best producers in the city to write and record her new three song demo, featured on this page. Each song has been written and inspired by Jamie Lee and her life---from small town to big city Philly. Straight to the top of the charts she goes... |
